Sharing stories through food
Bitute is Barcelona’s first culinary arts residency, where immigrant chefs create menus that tell their stories— sharing their roots, memories, and the essence of home through food. It’s more than a meal; it’s a conversation, a connection, an exchange.
In Perú, bitute means “the time to eat,” a moment deeply rooted in our co-founder Matias Campa’s culture. But eating is never just about food. It’s about gathering— coming together to share stories, ideas, and pieces of ourselves.
Every time we gather around a bitute table, we create something new. Around this table, in the breaking of bread, in the sharing of stories, we carve out a space where belonging is not tied to one land, one culture, or one past—but to each other.
